Founded in 2012, the Strange Arrange Live Arrangement CompetitionisNashville’s first live arrangement competition where bands from all over the country perform a live remix of today's hottest Hip Hop and R&B songs. Upon its debut, the concept of a live arrangement competition did not exist in the music industry. With extensive research, planning and strategy, the Strange Arrangeguaranteed musicians an opportunity to change the face of musicianship and fulfilled its promise. The Strange Arrange caters to the most incredibly skillful musicians in Hip Hop, Gospel, Jazz and Soul genres to create chords, drum patterns, bass licks and guitar riffs that set a high standard of professionalism and creativity for aspiring musicians all over the nation.
Each finalist received critiques ontheir different levels of Creativity, Difficulty, Transitions, Showmanship, Dynamics, plus more.
The winner’s of this competition received a one of kind prize package which included: The Title, Trophy, $10,000 Cash, Magazine Feature and a Recording Session and Video Shoot with R&B Singer, Musiq Soulchild. Also, the chance to play in front of major music directors provides the opportunity to play amongst high profiled artists and musicians.
The 2012 judges for the Strange Arrange were: Professional Bass Players & Music Directors: Adam Blackstone and Ethan Farmer, Professional Drummer & Music Director: Nisan Stewart and Grammy Nominated Recording Artist, Musiq Soulchild.
The competition was extremely stiff amongst the bands, but one band reigned supreme. Nurdy Tunes of Miami, FL holds the title as the 1st Annual Grand Prize Winners of the Strange Arrange Live Arrangement competition.
